SMUT conducted a comprehensive training program for 67 women hailing from the Tribal Community at Shamlaji. The primary objective of this training was to equip these women with the necessary knowledge and skills for honey farming and establish a Honey business-oriented FPO (Farmers' Producer Organization). Apart from honing their expertise in honey farming, the training also focused on nurturing their entrepreneurship skills. Additionally, the participants were enlightened about various government schemes available to support livelihood programs in tribal regions. Through this empowering initiative, SMUT aspired to uplift the women of the community and pave the way for sustainable economic growth in the region.
A training program on animal husbandry was organized, which was attended by 53 women farmers associated with animal husbandry. The primary objective of this training was to enhance the knowledge and skills of these women farmers in animal husbandry practices, ultimately leading to improved productivity and income. To ensure the success of the activity, the project team meticulously undertook all necessary steps, such as selecting appropriate resource persons, carefully choosing participants, developing relevant training content, conducting impact assessments, and seeking feedback.
Mahila Vrittika: A total of 107 women were supported in completing the required forms, and their documents were collected and submitted to the horticulture department. As part of the program, the horticulture department conducted 5 days of training in the respective villages, focusing on Papad, pickle, and juice making for these women. After successfully completing the training program, each woman received a stipend of Rs. 250/- per day, which has been credited to their respective bank accounts. In total, the beneficiaries received Rs. 1,33,750/- as benefits under the convergence with the government department.
