Farmers Producers organization (FPOs)
With the support of NABARD, we have successfully established three FPOs in Sabarkantha District, Gujarat. Currently, these FPOs boast 831 shareholders, and they are actively engaged in operating Agribusiness Centers for input supply and farm produce procurement.
01. SAAFE Farmers Producers Organization
- Registered under the Company's Act of the Government of India on October 17, 2021.
- Currently has 321 active share members.
- Undertaken significant endeavors, including capacity building for Members, Directors, and CEO.
- Obtained licenses for seed, fertilizer, pesticides, and GST compliance.
- Established an Agri business center for smooth operations.
- Provided comprehensive training and advisory services for sustainable farming practices.
- Offered demo plots for groundnut seed production to 20 members.
- Achieved a turnover of Rs. 78 lakhs in the current financial year (as of June 30, 2023).
- Plans to start a groundnut oil processing unit in the year 2023-24.
02. SABARMATI Goat Farmers Producers Organization
This FPO is registered under Company’s Act of Government of India on 17th oct 2020, the main aim of this FPO is to work for the Goat rearer of tribal area of Sabarkantha district, Gujarat as goat is one of the main sources of livelihood for tribal people here. Till now it had 256 share members and for business activities it has opened one Service center for their share members.
- Capacity building of Board of Members, Directors, and CEO
- Opened Community Service Centre under the banner of the FPC.
- Initiated vermicompost production with 10 active members, yielding 10 tons this year.
- Organized vaccination camps for goats in 10 villages, benefiting all shareholders.
- Constructed 10 model goat sheds using local resources to promote awareness of goat health and hygiene among all members.
03. PRAKRITIK Farmers Producers Organization
This FPO is registered under Company’s Act of Government of India on 1st Jan 2021, till now it has 254 active share members.
- Capacity building of Board of Members, Directors, and CEO
- Obtained all licenses including seed, fertilizer, pesticides, GST etc.
- Established an Agri business center for smooth operations.
- Provided comprehensive training and advisory services for sustainable farming practices.
- Achieved a turnover of Rs. 19 lakhs in the current financial year (as of June 30, 2023).
- Plans to start a wheat processing unit in the year 2023-24.
