India is home to a large number of tribes with population of about 70 million. "Tribals" are found in almost all the states of country. Currently there are between 258 and 540 scheduled tribe communities exists. The tribe is a system of social organization which includes several local groups- villages, districts on lineage and normally includes a common territory, a common language and a common culture, a common name, simple economy, religion and belief, primitive law and political system. Now tribal are struggling to survive their culture and traditions due to influence of other cultures and lack of awareness among new generation about their rich traditions and culture. Recognizing this need, organization started to work for to preserve their rich traditions and culture through broad institutional efforts. The main objective behind this is to restore their identity, autonomy equality and empowerment through their culture and traditions.Now, organization promoting, carrying out and undertake the cultural activities ofthe Bhil and Garasiya Tribes living inborder of North Gujarat and South Rajasthan. Mainareas are research, conservation,document and transmission of intangible cultural heritage from generation to generation. Organize seminars, workshops and festivals to preserve andpromote the traditional art and culture.
