Skill Development
A closer look at the issue of sustainable livelihood reveals that many youths either do not have adequate access to job markets or the requisite skills for jobs; most of the times, both. SMUT objective is to create employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for youths, farmers and marginalized populace by providing education, skill trainings and counselling. Secondly, SMUT experiences suggested that the challenges of employability are not limited to lack of technical skill. Yyouth from low-income, disadvantaged backgrounds also struggle with low confidence, low bargaining power, low awareness of rights and often unclear, often feeling aspirations that keep their options limited. Our training program includes a strong component of building life skills among its young trainees using a wide range of innovative and interactive tools of creative learning, exploration and analysis.
